A new song for a new year. This is a long ambient drone with sweeping and drifting elements.

This was a great year for me. I feel that I achieved a lot. I’ve been working the Swaying Smoke project since March 2008. So, my two year anniversary is coming up in a few months.

I worked a lot with found sounds and noisy ambiance in 2008. This past year, I worked with found sounds less, instead focusing more on drone and soundscapes. I don’t expect that to lessen in 2010, but we’ll see what happens. I do have plans to explore other styles of creating within my same genre.

I had two netlabel releases with Public Spaces Lab: Hidden Beneath the Soil and Unbroken Lantern.

Two of my songs were included on netlabel compilations. Encompassed by the Rain was with Public Spaces Lab. Speaking Machines was with Earth Monkey Productions.

I also self released 20 individual tracks, three of which were remixes. They are collected under the title of Unreason. I’ll be starting a new collection of individual tracks for 2010. Expect something new soon.
